🏛️ Validator Application Process

How a validator joins JagPool — from the site, signed, with your eligibility pre-checked the moment you apply.

📝 How to Apply​

👉 Apply at jagpool.xyz/apply — no account, no wallet, no form to wait on.

  1. Fill in your validator and your contacts.
    Telegram and email are required: the pool answers your application through them. They stay private — held to process the application, deleted if it is declined, kept as your membership contacts if accepted.

  2. Sign the application with your validator identity key.
    The page shows the exact message and the ready-to-run solana sign-offchain-message command. It is a message, structurally never a transaction — it cannot move funds or touch your validator, and the key never leaves your machine.

  3. Read your pre-check, instantly.
    Every mechanical criterion — region, commissions, delinquency, stake, track record, on-chain website and description, X presence, SFDP or external stake — is checked at submission and shown to you with the observed values.

Failing a check does not reject you

The pre-check informs, it never decides. A human reviews the queue weekly and judges the whole picture. If something is fixable — say, no website published in validator-info — fix it and resubmit any time: the newer application simply replaces the older one.

  1. Acceptance = enrollment.
    When your application is accepted, your validator is enrolled and receives its first delegation at the next rebalancing window — no separate waitlist step.

📊 Evaluation Criteria​

JagPool considers the following when evaluating validators:

  • APY & Uptime: Validators must demonstrate reliability and high availability
  • Skip Rate: We evaluate median skip rate over 10 epochs
  • Commission Limits: Base commission must be ≤ 5%, Jito MEV commission ≤ 10%
  • Brand & Presence:
    • Validators must have a published logo
    • Validators must have an active Website
    • Validators must have an active Twitter (X) account
  • Ecosystem Contributions: Tools, education, onboarding, SFDP participation, etc.

We prioritize validators who show ongoing commitment to decentralization, transparency, and the supported regions: Latin America and APAC.

⏳ Order of Acceptance​

Validators are accepted from the reviewing queue based on a mix of:

  • Application order
  • Performance and contribution score
  • Stake pool growth capacity

JagPool may pause new additions depending on network or pool conditions.

⚠️ Ongoing Requirements​

Validators accepted into JagPool must:

  • Maintain performance standards
  • Keep their identity and branding published
  • Participate in governance and/or community initiatives
  • Avoid any activity that harms Solana's decentralization or users

🚨 Grounds for Removal​

Validators may be removed or blacklisted (3–6 months) for:

  • Uptime failures or excessive skip rate
  • Commission rugging or sudden exploitative changes
  • Toxic behavior or malicious on-chain activity (e.g. sandwiching, block lagging)
  • Lack of contributions after being listed
